Major structural repairs to facade.

Works commenced with the erection of scaffold to the rear façade. This had to be carefully planned as the main access ramp to the basement car park had to be kept operational at all times. Major cracking had appeared over a number of years. The repair work involved cutting out cracked brickwork and replacing to match, then the installation of a new helibar crack repair system.

Once the repairs were completed we cut 2 nr expansion joints from ground to upper level to allow expansion and contraction of the outer skin. The existing roof over the stair well was replaced using a EPDM system along with new hand rails to the perimeter of the roof to allow safe access for maintenance.

Duration for this from approval to completion took 12 weeks.
